Welcome to Windows Internet Explorer Beta 2

Welcome to Windows Internet Explorer Beta 2 - So right now I am testing the new IE 8 and so far I am liking it.. From any web page i can add a link to my facebook (with a push of a button) for people to look at or even blog about the web site (at the push of a button).. There is also a map it feature with should allow me to click on an address that’s on a page and then pull it up from Google automatically.. sounds kinda neat so far.. But problem I have found is that my work home page.. web.ncifcrf.gov does not display correctly within the browser.. one more thing to fix when i get to work i guess.. ;) o well until tomorrow.. enjoy the night and lata!!

O weekend!!

How do I wish thee were here.. With your sun beating down upon me as I sleep the afternoon away. Drifting back and forth as the wind gently pushes me. O weekend!! How I wish you were here.. the fun times you bring and the joy you sing as the world slows down and unwinds. The weekend is special this time as it is a three day weekend.. One more extra special day to lay around and count my toes or my fingers or the many white puffy clouds that will be above me head as I rest in the hammock. Maybe a beer in hand but only time will tell.. but even if I don’t get to do all of that at least I get more time to have Christy all to myself.. :D

She has finally finished take all part of the CPA exam and we found out that she has passed the last 3 (of 4)!! So hats off to her and what she has done.. I am very proud of her and her commitment!!  So what does that all mean.. it means that this weekend.. or even tonight she doesn’t have to be locked away in her room to study.. instead she can come out and play. Maybe we’ll walk around the park, play tennis, or just lay around the house.. but whatever we do at least she will not have to be studying.. :D Maybe a movie for the weekend would work. Or roller skating.. :D I have been trying to get people together to go.. Maybe one of these days.. :D

Well work is a-calling and it has my forward address so I must bid you farewell.. for now.. ;)

Officially Engaged!!!

Well as of yesterday I am officially engaged. :D and I am so very happy. Now the real fun and begin.. :D So anyways here is how it went down. I was having trouble trying to think of a way to propose to Christy without Christy knowing what was about to happen. She knew the ring was coming and I knew if we went out on a special dinner date or even a walk in the park she would know it was coming. So my new plan went something like this. Yesterday morning around ~945am the ring was delivered to a friend of mine. I left work for the day and drove down to meet Robyn and pick up the ring. We chit-chatted for a little bit.. she took some pictures of the ring and then we chit-chatted a little bit longer. Well the time had come for me to leave so I could be at the house by noon.. trying to pass it off like I was coming home to take Christy to lunch.. so I drove around back and parked in my spot.. came in the back door and greeted Christy. We hugged and kissed as we normally do and she then turned around and started getting ready to go to lunch. Well Christy finally was ready and as we were walking across the main floor (dining room to living room) I came up from behind her and ask where she wanted to go for lunch. She responded with “Crab-Apples” (our normal lunch place) and then I responded with “well I have one more question to ask” and at that time she turned around and I was down one knee with the ring box opened. :D “Will you marry me?”.. And I received a sobbing “Yes!!”.. I placed the ring on her finger and we hugged and kissed once again. It truly was a magical moment in my life. :D

The rest of the day I let her study (for her CPA exam today) as I did a little around the house and recovered from a cold I picked up over the weekend. :D

Exciting Times and a new chapter lay ahead.. :D

Netowkr problems..

and yes.. I meant to spell the title wrong.. ;) let me tell you what’s going on. Well two nights ago I discovered that once again router number 2 was wet. thus resulting in no internet. When I went downstairs to check on it I noticed the smell of kitty. I was wondering how could kitty smell (or number 1) but on my router. I moved it away from the hole in the floor (that’s how router 1 died) and even moved the stand away from that area.. right.. under.. a vent.. which low and behold was wet and dripping right on to the router #2. (sigh) so I went over to best buy yesterday and picked up a new draft-n router and a wireless card for Christy’s laptop. Also I wanted to move the router from the basement to my room on the second floor. So I get home and un pack the new items in my room. I then go outside to examine how I’m going to get the cable from the basement to my window via a small cat 5 cable attached to the side of my house directly to my room. Everything went very smoothly. I was able to connect the wires correctly and I now have signal in my room. YAY!!! so next I hooked up the router and then my computer to the router. Well I was unable to get to the internet so I made a call to Comcast.. which resulting in them sending the signal back to the router. So now I have internet. I redid the wires below in the basement for the DVR-TV recording computer and sure enough that computer had internet connection.. Alright I’m 2 for 3 right now.. So then next I went up to Christy’s room and installed the wireless N card. Humm.. Blue Screen of Death on install. So I rebooted the computer.. uninstalled the drivers and the files and installed the card manually with the new drivers from Linksys. Alright 3 for 3.. I have internet connec…. CRAP!! Where did the internet go?? What the card dropped the connection and is in searching mode?? Blah!!.. So I continued to work with that for a little bit but alas no luck. It maintains its connection for a minute and then drops it. Ok well enough of that time to see my movies for a break while I think about what’s going on.. Hey!!! Why can’t I see my folders from my DVR-TV computer?? Blah network error.. can’t find the network.. but wait.. its gets better.. so I walk downstairs thinking that my permissions are messed up and I have to redo them.. After I complete that task I check the folder from down there and sure enough I can see my computer upstairs and I can even crate new files on the desktop.. so now I’m excited thinking I have solved the problem.. well nope.. I have not.. sure enough the same problem happens on my computer upstairs.. BLAH!!! So this morning I make a call to Linksys to see if they can help me.. They have decided that it is a vista problem and not their router.. so in other words no.. they could not help me.. (sigh).. owell until tonight for round two with networking for dummies.. Hopefully I can get everything working tonight.. I really do miss watching TV from my computer.. ;)

40 Tips for Better Life

1. Take a 10-30 minute walk every day. And while you walk, smile. It is the ultimate anti-depressant.
2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day.
3. Buy a DVR and tape your late night shows and get more sleep.
4. When you wake up in the morning complete the following statement, ‘My purpose is to __________ today.’
5. Live with the 3 E’s — Energy, Enthusiasm, and Empathy.
6. Play more games and read more books than you did in 2007.
7. Make time to practice meditation, and prayer. They provide us with daily fuel for our busy lives.
8. Spend time with people over the age of 70 and under the age of 6.
9. Dream more while you are awake.
10. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.
11. Drink green tea and plenty of water. Eat blueberries, wild Alaskan salmon, broccoli, almonds & walnuts.
12. Try to make at least three people smile each day.
13. Clear clutter from your house, your car, your desk and let new and flowing energy into your life.
14. Don’t waste your precious energy on gossip, OR issues of the past, negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.
15. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.
16. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a college kid with a maxed out charge card.
17. Smile and laugh more. It will keep the nagative blues away.
18. Life isn’t fair, but it’s still good.
19. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
20. Don’t take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
21. You don’t have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
22. Make peace with your past so it won’t spoil the present.
23. Don’t compare your life to others’. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
24. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
25. Frame every so-called disaster with these words: ‘In five years, will this matter?’
26. Forgive everyone for everything.
27. What other people think of you is none of your business.
28. Remember God heals everything.
29. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
30. Your job won’t take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in touch.
31. Get rid of anything that isn’t useful, beautiful or joyful.
32. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
33. The best is yet to come.
34. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
35. Do the right thing!
36. Call your family often.
37. Each night before you go to bed complete the following statements: I am thankful for _______. Today I accomplished ____.
38. Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed.
39. Enjoy the ride. Remember this is not Disney World and you certainly don’t want a fast pass. You only have one ride through life so make the most of it and enjoy the ride.
40. Laugh when you can, apologize when you should, and let go of what you can’t change.

Tell me, if I caught you one day
and kissed the sole of your foot,
wouldn't you limp a little then,
afraid to crush my kiss?...

Tennis!!!

Good morning world.. your very tired developer has come back to write another thought or two.. Let start off with yesterday night.. :) Christy, her Dad and myself all went to the mason legg tennis game in DC last night (another round is set for Friday) and didn't make it home until sometime at 11pm. I didn't even get to sleep until like 12:09am. In other words today is going to be a sleepy day at work. but before I go into today yesterday at the game was a lot fun. I took pictures.. ate a few hotdogs.. and watch 3 really good games. The doubles game we all watch was wonderful. What I kinda fine funny was during the doubles game Christy and I both said that "wow.. these games are really moving.. lots of action and not much downtime".. Well that was until the final match of the night. Around 9:30pm the 19th rank person in the world and this other guy met in center court. Well 18 minutes later the 19th placed guy had already won his first set 6-0. I felt kinda bad for the other guy. He even had his own cheering section which by the end was very very quiet.. ;) I mean he looked like what would of happened if I was playing out there. He just didn't stand a chance. O’well better luck next year.. :)

Now onto today.. :) today at work I have lots to do. but luckily I have already read my email and fixed two bugs waiting for me. Now I have to throw up a quick PDF to a web site by Friday (which they gave me yesterday right before I left) and then I have more and more and more and more ARS stuff to develop. That list really don't get any smaller no matter how much I do. O'well at least I have work.. ;)

Soooo.. Tired... (thud)!!!

Good morning!!

Welcome to today.. it’s about 730 in the morning right now and I am currently sitting at my desk.. reading emails and looking at the news. Nothing too new to report so far outside of the fact that a few more bugs have found their way into my code.. So something I will have to tackle here in a moment but for now I have other news.. :) Last night I officially ask Crickie's parents for permission to marry her.. :D And they were like.. well what took you so long.. ;) It was great and am very happy that everything is progressing along. Now i have not proposed yet as the ring is still being made but that didn’t stop us from talking about dates and times and where.. So far we think we have decided for a time around March.. April.. May.. ;) (leaving our options open).. ;) and from the sound of things we are going to have it around Frederick.. :) So hopefully we can invite everyone and have a big shin-dig.. :D I'm sure as the time tics forward ill have more and more and even more information but for now that’s about all I have.. :) So YAYA!! I can't believe that this time next year I’ll be married.. its kinda weird but in a good way.. :D

So in other news.. ;) I continued to work with my computer yesterday. I’m running Vista 64 at the moment and I have learned a lot about the OS. All in all a very stable OS with some problems.. like it loves to goggle my memory which then requires me to reboot.. hopefully this problem gets fix with the next release.. But last night I installed NFS Pro street.. It’s not too bad but it’s not underground 2 either. It doesn't seem to have a world you can just drive in.. instead you build up yours cars and race them on the track.. So far the best thing is the car damage.. which then seems to affect your driving and aero (as it should).. I really didn't get to play too much but so far I’m impressed.. :)

Now for a little test.. lets see if i can upload a picture.. :) These are the two latest Art pieces.. :) Let me know what you think..

No running here!!

welcome to another day at work.. (yawn).. I woke up today feeling really tired.. but now after a starbucks run i fell much more refreshed.. (at least for the next few hours).. ;) (yawn).. must.. wake.. up.. just think.. if im still this tired can you just think how i was when i just got up.. ;) well anyways.. today Chirsty and I didn't run again.. we have decided that we wanted to wake up in the morning (around 5) and run/walk for an hr to "get the blood flowing" well so far we both have been too tired to even make it out of bed.. never the less barely turning off the alarm.. ;) Well tonight we must go to bed early.. like 9pm.. that way we can be awake and ready to go.. or at least have enough energy to get out of the bed and slip into our gym clothes.. :) we'll see if such a thing happens.. ;)
